Who is the third murderer?

  1. In scene 3 of Act 3, we discover the present of a third murderer that wasn't present before. He does not introduce himself but we can suppose that he is present to supervise and spy on the two murderers on Macbeth's demand. It has been speculated that Macbeth may be this third murderer because he doesn't trust anyone in his kingdom and he would have to spy on his murderers himself but I think that the murderers would have recognized him and he, as a soldier, would have caught Fleance while the two others took care of Banquo. I also think that Macbeth uses the murderers as an aliby so that there wouldn't be any suspicion about where was Macbeth at the time of the murder. That way it cannot be Macbeth. I also do not think that it is one of the lords because they are all present at the dinner. I believe that the third murderer represents Destiny. The third murderer bring information for the two others and precipitates Fate. We can also see that he doesn't speak in the same manner as the two others and seems to tell a story :"Tis he", "There's but one done; the son is fled". He knows the habbits of Banquo and his son and is not decieved that Fleance escaped which suggests that the third murderer represents some kind of narrator of the story, otherwise, Destiny.
